No Basement. No Problem.

We don't have a basement.  We don't have a playroom.  And there is very limited space in Brocks bedroom.  It seems that boys toys consists of race tracks and train tracks.  We needed to figure something out so that he didn't have to tear down and set up his race track and train track everytime he wanted to play with them.  Needless to say, they were not seeing much action.  However, I left his wooden train track in pieces as that is fun to set up and gives him a sense of accomplishment.

Somewhere in these three tubs are pieces for a race track and pieces for a train track.

I went and purchased a piece of paneling and they even cut it to the sizes I needed, for FREE!

Hot Wheels track, complete.  Glued and screwed down.

Lionel train track, complete.  Just glued down.

The race track fits nicely in the closet.

The train track fits nicely in this particular spot.  Now both tracks are ready to be played with at a moments notice.

ON YOUR MARK.  GET SET.  GO!!

Brock Starts Preschool

Today is a BIG day for Brock Michael Garrison, age 4.

So I didn't just get him dressed and snap a picture. Instead, I felt the need to document as much of his morning as possible.  School starts at 8:35 and Mrs. Trumble is eagerly awaiting.

Lets start off with a nice healthy breakfast, something that doesn't have too much sugar. A chocolate fudge Pop-Tart, perfect. And a cup of milk.

He is finished eating and is now dressed. We have a little time to spare before we walk out the door.  So how about a couple times around the track, of course.

We are on our way. It's about a 20 min walk to school (give or take depending on his pace and the amount of times he gets sidetracked). What a pleasant and beautiful morning.

We have arrived. It's not the Bobcat den, but the Huskies will do for now. Welcome to Hailmann Elementary little buddy.

Giving Morgan a kiss goodbye.
I didn't shed a tear. Sad was not an emotion I was feeling. Mostly anxiety which led to A LOT of perspiring.  School is out at 11:00.

He survived the first day.  No phone call and it looks like he enjoyed himself.
Okay, can you please look at the camera this time...

Here are two of his projects from today...

Here is a short video.
